SRC Ice Schedule

The Salmon River Central School Ice Arena is expected to open for early season skating activity on Tuesday, October 15, 2013. Contact Charlie Bishop, Arena Director, at school at (518) 358-6608 to inquire about regular and/or intermittent ice times available for rent.

Public Skating sessions will again be held regularly on Saturday evenings from 6-8 pm and Sunday afternoons from 2-4 pm. The opening weekend of the season will be on Saturday, October 19, 2013. Additionally, Public Skating will also be scheduled whenever practical from 1-3 pm on weekdays during school vacation periods. There is no admission fee for public skating.

District residents are also encouraged to take advantage of the following free community skating activities available to the public on days when school is in session, beginning on Tuesday, October 15, 2013:

Tuesdays & Thursdays 10 am – 12 noon Old-Timers Shoot-Around:

Helmets required.

Wednesdays & Fridays 10 am – 12 noon Parents w/Tots and Senior Citizens: Free-style skating. No Sticks or Pucks.

Please note, the schedule for these activities is subject to change when the rink is used for physical education instruction and/or classroom recreational activity. Patrons interested in either of the above weekday activities are advised to check the Ice Schedule published regularly in local area newspapers and posted in the Arena to keep abreast of planned changes, or to call the Arena Attendants’ Office on (518) 358-6664 for verification ahead of time.
