Lady Shamrocks Shut Out N-N

After a scoreless second, Miranda David stepped in with six minutes left in regulation play to score the third goal and her second goal of the game to assure the Shamrock victory.

The Lady Shamrocks improve their record 2-1 in the division and 2-2 overall.

P-H 4, Salmon 3

In a game that was a seesaw battle, the Lady Shamrocks ran out of time giving them a 4-3 loss to Parishville-Hopkinton.

Twenty-four minutes into the first half Brianna Hayes scored an unassisted goal to put Parishville-Hopkinton on the scoreboard. A fumble took place in front of the Salmon net and in the confusion a goal was made by the Lady Shamrocks and the goal point was given to P-H. Taylor Francis answered back minutes later on a pass from Kelby Mitchell to put the Shamrocks on the board. Three minutes later Francis struck again when she connected from Becca Leroux to even the score. The score stood at 2-2 going into half time.

Early in the second Kwiio King found the back of the net when she finished a play set up by Francis to pull ahead 3-2. Late in the second P-H pulled even when Kodi Perkins converted on a play set up by Hayes. With nine minutes left in regulation time, the duo of Perkins and Hayes teamed up again to put in the winning goal for P-H.

Kelsee Sunday collected 11 saves for the Lady Shamrocks.

“The girls played hard. It’s a disappointing loss but it happens,” commented Coach Liz Durfee.
