On Saturday, CKON celebrated a Loyal Listener Appreciation Day. It was held at HAVFD #1 and hundreds came out for the event. CKON Board of Directors President Jerry Cook said, “It’s nice to see the community come out and have fun.” CKON Board member William Phillips said it was the second time they did a celebration on such a scale, and explained that CKON made no money at the event, as it was free for vendors to sell their goods. “I hope everyone had fun,” he added. They had dozens of sponsors and vendors and the day was a success, they handed out several prizes.
Reen Cook summed up the purpose of the day when she said, “Thank you to all of our listeners, without you nothing exists.”
