Annual Salary:  Pay Level GST - 11 $34,866.27 - $37,711.35

POSITION SUMMARY:

Under the supervision of the Program Manager, the incumbent is responsible for the planning and preparation of all meals and snacks based on established healthy eating guidelines, the supervision of kitchen operations and education and training of clients to maintaining a healthy lifestyle.

QUALIFICATIONS: Post secondary graduate of Culinary, Food Services, Nutritional Program or equivalent; with a minimum of one (1) year work experience. OR High School diploma or equivalent; with minimum of two years work experience in a food preparation or food services with nutritional meal and snack planning.

Incumbent must have good oral and written communication skills; computer skills; must have experience in attending and providing instructional workshops, seminars, or in-service training related to food preparation and nutrition; must be able to manage a food and housekeeping budget files and reports; Ability to function under stressful situation; Knowledge  and ability to plan and prepare nutritional meals.

Must be able to work weekends and holidays in accordance with the scheduling needs of the facility. The incumbent must have good professional judgment, initiative and the ability to work well with others. Must have a valid driver’s license and be willing to use personal vehicle during course of employment.
