Apps for Akwesasnoron

Just about everyone has a mobile device and tablet these days.  Here are a few apps that are awesome to use on a tablet.

Instagram is great for documenting your life and sharing interesting views with your network of online friends.  You can snap a photo or record video and upload it to Instagram.  Filters and effects are also included.  Social sharing lets you share with facebook, twitter, linkedin, and more.

Kayak uses the full screen to show your travel itinerary and help you plan your trip with powerful search features.

Action Movie FX is just silly entertainment.  You record a short video of anything, then choose a video overlay.  Video overlays include aliens, rockets, robots, wrecking balls, and more.  The resulting video is often hilarious and certainly entertaining.

Dropbox, Google Drive, Ubuntu One Files, and Ubuntu One Music are all file storage and sharing apps.  Most let you automatically send your files up to the cloud so you can access your files anytime from any computer or mobile device.

TalkMohawk lets you tap a word or phrase to hear it spoken.  I’m the software developer and working on getting the audio record & note feature published, so that users can record their favorite speakers and note their own dialects.

Quora is helpful for finding answers to questions about Internet technologies and computers.

What’s your favorite mobile app and why is it your favorite?  Send your questions and comments about Internet technologies and computers to [email protected] and I’ll do my best to answer you in future stories.
