A Voice from the Eastern Door

Charleen Clara Benedict Cole 1934 ~ 2013

On July 1, 2013, our beloved mother, grandmother, sister and aunt passed away into the loving arms of her Heavenly Father, and was reunited with her beloved husband, Clyde “Sonny” Cole. Mom, we miss you so very much, but are comforted by the knowledge that your trials of health and strength are left behind in this mortal sphere. And you and Dad can finally walk again, together, hand in hand, for a new mission and a new work under the Savior’s direction.

Charleen is beloved by, and missed deeply by her children and grandchildren: Her son Nathan, his wife Suzanne, and their children Tiana, Elijah, and Ariana Cole; her son Guy R. Cole; Her daughter Elaine Heperi, and her husband Vernon Heperi, and their children Luke, Levi, Lauren, and Liam Heperi; and her daughter, Jolene Chapple, her husband Casey Chapple, and their children Hudson and Abbey Chapple.

In addition, Charleen returned from a recent trip to see her beloved sisters and twin brother, and is dearly missed by them and their families, as well as a multitude of friends: her sisters are Marguerite Rhode, May (husband Tom) Cole, Esther (husband James) Thompson, Helen Benedict, her twin brother, Charles “Buster” (wife Patricia) Benedict, and Betty (husband Howard) David.

Charleen was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde K. Cole; her brothers Robert “Bobby” Benedict, Winston Benedict, Morris Benedict and Edwin Benedict; and her parents, Elijah and Agnes Jacobs Benedict. She is now among those and other family members. She was born May 8, 1934 to her parents, Elijah and Agnes Benedict, of Cornwall Island, Ontario, Canada.

To our beloved Mom, “Tota,” “Sister,” and auntie, we miss you, we love you, we praise you, and we give the deepest thanks for you in our lives, and know that you offer us this beloved refrain, “God Be with You Till We Meet Again.” May that echo in our hearts, along with your love, until that time of rejoicing, as we say farewell for now, with all our love. Onen.
