ELECTED OFFICIALS SWORN IN AND SEATED

Chief Judge Peter J. Herne and Tribal Police Commission

Akwesasne, NY - The Saint Regis Mohawk Tribe hosted a swearing-in ceremony for community elected officials which included Chief Judge, Traffic Court Judges and newly appointed Police Commissioners at 11:00 a.m. on July 1, 2013 at the Tribal Community building.  Chief Judge Peter J. Herne accepted his term, receiving his oath for office from Tribal Clerk Corleen Jacco.  Also accepting their fifth consecutive terms as Tribal Traffic Court Judges were Steven B. Cook and Lois Terrance.

 As part of the ceremony, newly re-elected Tribal Chief Judge also conducted the swearing in for the Saint Regis Mohawk Tribe Police Commission.  Appointed to this term were Rowena General, John Ransom, Rudolph Hart, Robert Cole and Wendy Adams.
