June 3, 2013 Adam T. Francis, 20 of Hogansburg, NY was arrested on an outstanding warrant by Tribal Police when Mr. Francis was observed at a residence on St. Regis Rd. Tribal Police arraigned Mr. Francis at Bombay Town Court who required Mr. Francis post $2,500 bail or $5,000 bond. He was remanded to the Franklin County Jail. Subsequent to his arrest Mr. Francis was found to be in possession of Marijuana and was charged for that offense and is scheduled to appear in Town Court at a later date.

 

June 3, 2013, Tribal Police arrested Michael T. Crowley, 26 of Hogansburg, NY, on an outstanding warrant after he was observed on St. Regis Rd. Mr. Crowley was arraigned at Bombay Town Court and released on his own recognizance. Mr. Crowley is scheduled to appear in Town Court at a later date.

 

June 3, 2013, Tribal Police arrested John D. Jacobs, 39 of Hogansburg, NY, based on an active warrant from the United States District Court Plattsburgh. Police apprehended Mr. Jacobs after observing him at a residence on Johnson Rd. and after refusing to answer the door, police forcefully gained entrance to the residence and arrested Mr. Jacobs. He was transferred to the custody of U.S. Marshals for processing.

 

June 5, 2013 Tammy L. White, 46 of Hogansburg, NY was arrested by Tribal Police after being stopped for no license plate lamp. Ms. White gave a false name to officers and it was also determined that Ms. White was operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated.  Tribal Police learned the true identity of the driver to be Tammy L. White, who had an outstanding Arrest Warrant in St. Lawrence County. Mrs. White was charged with DWI, having a BAC over 0.08%, unlicensed operation of motor vehicle, inadequate license plate lamp, and criminal impersonation in the 2nd degree. Mrs. White was issued her appearance tickets and turned over to the New York State Police to be arraigned for her Arrest Warrant.

 

June 5, 2013 Christy M. Beckett, 31 of Malone, NY was arrested by Tribal Police after Officers performed a routine traffic stop. Mrs. Becket was observed to have an active Arrest Warrant out of Malone. Mrs. Becket was arrested and later turned over to the New York State police.

 

June 6, 2013 A Salmon River Central School student was arrested by Tribal Police for Unlawful Possession of Marijuana. The student is scheduled to appear in Ft. Covington Town Court at a later date.

 

June 6, 2013 Kimberly L. Goodreau, 36 of Brasher Falls, NY was arrested after being stopped by Tribal Police for failing to use her designated lane. Mrs. Goodreau was found to be suspended and was charged with Aggravated unlicensed operation in the 3rd degree. Mrs. Goodreau was also arrested for an existing Bench Warrant out of Bombay, NY. Mrs. Goodreau was arraigned in Town Court and released on own recognizance to appear at a later date.

 

June 10, 2013 Maxine A Perkins, 42 of Bombay, NY was arrested after Tribal Police were called to a residence on Raquette Point Rd. for an unwanted person. Mrs. Perkins was found to have an existing Bench Warrant out of Massena, NY. Tribal Police turned Mrs. Perkins over to the Massena Police Dept.

 

June 10, 2013 Ivy D. Ashkewe, 24 of Hogansburg, NY was arrested after Tribal Police conducted a routine traffic stop. Mrs. Ashkewe was found to have a Bench Warrant and Arrest Warrant out of Bombay, NY. Mrs. Ashkewe was transported to Town Court where she was arraigned and required to post $1,500 bail or $3,000 bond. Mrs. Ashkewe was remanded to the Franklin County Jail.

 

June 10, 2013 A Salmon River Central School student was arrested by Tribal Police for disorderly conduct. The student is scheduled to appear in Ft. Covington Town Court at a later date.

Akwesasne Mohawk Police Service

On June 12, 2013 the Akwesasne Mohawk Police responded to assist CBSA with persons illegally entering Canada in Kanatakon. Two vehicles were stopped by police on Third Street, Kanatakon. A male passenger identified himself as Ramirez Cuauhtemoc. Cuauhtemoc was arrested for illegally entering Canada according to the Immigration Act of Canada. Further investigation of the two males in a second vehicle Identified as Arjanit Cela and Llambi Isufi, both of the New York City area, were arrested for illegally entering Canada and turned over to the RCMP. Two females were transported to the RCMP by the Mohawk Police where they were being charged for Organizing Illegal Entry into Canada.

On June 7, 2013 the Akwesasne Mohawk Police responded to a call at the Anowara:kowa Arena of extensive damage done to the soccer field by four-wheelers in the area where the powwow is held. Police are looking for any information that could assist in identifying the persons responsible for the damage at the arena.

CRIMINAL CONTEMPT

Massena, NY - Mitch R. Nanticoke, 26, of 4 Snye Road, Snye, Que., was charged by Massena-based state police with second-degree criminal contempt at 5:35 p.m. Wednesday during a secondary inspection at the U.S. port of entry in Rooseveltown.

Nanticoke was allegedly found violating an order of protection that was signed in April.

He was arraigned by Massena Town Justice Gerald P. Sharlow and released on his own recognizance after providing the court with paperwork indicating the order of protection had been rescinded.

FOLLOWING TOO CLOSELY

Potsdam, NY - Crystal G Stehlin, 25, of Rooseveltown, was ticketed by Potsdam Village police for following too closely at 12:12 p.m. Friday on Market Street at Sandstone Drive.

COURT

Massena, NY - Steven P. Thompson, 22, of 1705 Salmon St., Fort Covington, was placed under probation supervision for three years, which require him to abide by a midnight to 6 a.m. curfew, and ordered to pay a $205 surcharge by Massena Village Justice Eric J. Gustafson. Thompson pled guilty to a misdemeanor count of petit larceny in a plea bargain agreement with the St. Lawrence County District Attorney’s Office.

Massena Village police originally charged Thompson with a felony count of fourth-degree grand larceny and second-degree criminal trespass in September for attempting to steal over $1,000 of merchandise from Walmart in Massena, NY and then attempting to break into a Sunmount residence to elude police.

AGGRAVATED UNLICENSED OPERATION

Massena, NY - Russell J. Beauboin (aka Russell Benedict), 33, of 1179 Route 37, Hogansburg, was charged by Massena-based state police with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle at 3 a.m. Monday at the U.S. port of entry in Rooseveltown. He was arraigned by Massena Town Justice James M. Crandall and sent to the St. Lawrence County Correctional Facility with bail set at $500 cash or $1,000 bond.
