Attention MCA Rental Unit Applicants

If you have applied in the past and are still interested in a Mohawk Council of Akwesasne rental unit, please stop in to the Housing Department to update your application.  If a person does not contact the Housing Department to update after 60 days from this posting, they will be removed from the waiting list.

A rental application is good for all three districts; you do not have to fill one out for each district.

When updating, provide proof of income, good mailing address and phone number in order for the Housing Department to contact you.

*Should we not hear from a past applicant regarding updating an application we will assume the person no longer wants to rent a unit and will remove the person’s name from the waiting list.

*There are 10 units on Kawehno:ke that will soon be available.  MCA does have units in Kana:takon and Tsi Snaihne however; at this time they are fully occupied.

We currently have rental units available on Kawehno:ke (Cornwall Island).

Requirements:

1. Must be a member of the Mohawks of Akwesasne

2. Must pass the Good Standing Inquiry

3. Must provide proof of income/affordability

4. Must have references
