Senior Tewasherake Barnes being honored for her leadership for the last two years on the SRCS girl’s varsity lacrosse team. She has been the leading scorer for the past two seasons and the All Time Leading Scorer for SRCS. She is undecided as to what school she will be attending this fall. She is pictured with her cousin Peter Barnes, Mother-Amy Barnes, and her sister-Kenkiokwine.
Senior Kaienkwinehtha Ransom has been the mainstay of the defensive unit of the SRCS varsity girl’s lacrosse team for the last two seasons. She plays hard and is quick to cover when a teammate is beat or an opposing player is threatening to score. She is pictured with her father Wally Ransom, her sister and brother-Cora and Cree and her mother- Katsitsionni Fox. Kaienkwinehtha will be attending SUNY Potsdam in the fall.

The Lady Shamrocks played their last game at home last week against OFA. The Lady Blue Devils went home with the 19-12 victory.
The Lady Shamrocks played hard to keep the game close when at half time OFA was leading by only two goals, 10-8.
During half time, two seniors were honored by second year coach Troy Mitchell. “I would like to thank Kaienkwinehtha Ransom and Tewasherake Barnes for their dedication and commitment to this program and Salmon River sports. These two amazing young ladies are moving onto college next year and I would like to wish them the best of luck for their bright future. I would like to say congratulations and thank you to their families on raising such amazing young ladies.”
The third quarter was scoreless, however during the fourth quarter OFA moved ahead to end the season for the Lady Shamrocks.
Kyra Thompson sparked the SR attack with five goals while senior Tewasherake Barnes and Victoria Thompson tallied three apiece. Kiera Pyke stood tall in the net with nine saves.
