Akwesasne Territory -- May 14, 2013 -- Tribal police arrested Eric Sisto for felony assaulting a police officer, felony criminal mischief 3rd, reckless driving, reckless endangerment 2nd, failure to obey a police officer along with other traffic tickets. Mr. Sisto’s arrest results from a high speed pursuit that originated in Massena, NY. Mr. Sisto made it to Hogansburg when tribal police intercepted the pursuit and Mr. Sisto hit a tribal police vehicle, resulting in a tribal police vehicle performed a Pitman maneuver on Mr. Sisto’s vehicle, guiding the vehicle to the ditch to safely ending the pursuit. Mr. Sisto was held in Franklin County Jail on $2,500 bail and 5,000 bond.
May 17, 2013 -- Tribal police arrested a Michael D. Slavin (Massena, NY) for having an existing bench warrant. Mr. Slavin was later turned over to the Clinton County Sheriff’s Department.
May 17, 2013-- Tribal police arrested a Thomas J. Lazore (Rooseveltown, NY) for aggravated DWI and failure to keep right. Tribal police stopped the vehicle after AMPS had notified that a possible drunk driver was leaving Snye, PQ. Officers stopped the vehicle after it went into the other lane of traffic. Tribal officers then observed Mr. Lazore behind the wheel. Mr. Lazore was deemed intoxicated and was transported back to the Tribal Police Station for a breath test, later resulting in a BAC of .27. Mr. Lazore was issued his tickets and scheduled to appear in town court at a later date.
May 18, 2013 -- Tribal police arrested Roger D. Jorgenson (Weedsport, NY) for aggravated harassment 2nd and stalking 4th after tribal police investigated a matter regarding a female receiving threatening text messages. Mr. Jorgenson was arrested and arraigned at town court and later released on his own recognizance. Mr. Jorgenson is scheduled to appear in town court at a later date.

OVER 80
Cornwall, ON- Ashlee Thompson, 25 of Akwesasne, was arrested during the early hours of May 19th, 2013. It is alleged that she was operating a motor vehicle and attended the Canadian Border-Cornwall Port while under the influence of alcohol. She was detained by the Canadian Border Service Agency and turned over to a member of the Cornwall Community Police Service Community Patrol Division. She was charged with Over 80 and released to appear in court on June 4th, 2013.
COURT
Megan Powless, 18, of Akwesasne was adjudicated as a youthful offender status and sentenced to county jail time by Franklin County Court Judge Robert G. Main Jr.
Powless was sentenced to 60 days in jail with five years’ probation for second-degree criminal mischief and 90 days in jail for third-degree unlawful fleeing a police officer in a motor vehicle. She was also ordered to pay $6,557.61 restitution.
COURT
Donna M. Smoke, 50, of 149 Helena Road, Hogansburg, entered a guilty plea before Massena Village Justice Eric J. Gustafson after a felony count of fourth-degree grand larceny was reduced to a misdemeanor charge of petit larceny. A pre-sentence investigation will be done by the probation department and sentencing is scheduled for July 23.
INADEQUATE HEADLIGHTS
Massena, NY - Ashley M. Palmer, 25, of Laffin Lane, Hogansburg, was ticketed by Massena Village police for operation of a vehicle with inadequate headlights following a traffic stop at 8:05 p.m. Thursday on the Willow Street Extension.
STOP SIGN
Massena, NY - Alisha E. Deer, 19, of Hogansburg was ticketed by Massena Village police for a stop sign violation Wednesday afternoon following a traffic stop on Grove Street near Ridgewood Avenue.
