A Voice from the Eastern Door
Dear Monica,
I make the most amazing bead work in the universe. I know this to be true, because all my aunties told me so. I want to offer my beadwork for sale on the Internet, but the choices are overwhelming. Where do you suggest I start?
Sincerely,
The Most Amazing Beader in the Universe!
Dear Amazing Beader,
I suggest you signup with the following websites: Gmail.com, Google+, PayPal.com, Etsy.com, FaceBook.com, Twitter.com, InstaGram.com and Pinterest.com. Install InstaGram mobile app on your smart phone, it is free. Use InstaGram to snap photos of your beadwork, upload them to the web, and share them to all of your social networks. Etsy.com provides you with updated instructions and tutorials for you to add details, pricing, and photos of your beadwork and they handle all the payments for you.
You must ship your items out and respond to your buyers immediately to keep your seller rating high and respectable with Etsy.com. Each time you snap a photo of your beadwork, do it with natural lighting and shoot the pictures outdoors in sunlight with no distracting backgrounds. A tabletop, picnic table, a pile of sticks, or natural materials can make a nice background that will not detract from showing details of your beadwork. Snap a photo with different angles so your buyers can see what they are purchasing. Good luck with your bead selling adventures.
If you have any questions about Internet technologies, please do send them to [email protected] and I’ll do my best to answer you in future stories.
