College Lacrosse Weekend Wrap-Up

Albany – It was a career night for Ty Thompson, Lyle Thompson and the UAlbany Great Danes as they overpowered UMBC 16-10. Ty had a career night as he scored 8 goals to break the 100 goal barrier while Lyle had 7 assists and 4 goals of his own to lead the Great Danes.

Elmira – The Utica Pioneers had a good Saturday as they beat Elmira 15-7 and had 4 Pioneers leading the offense with hat tricks. One of the Pioneers scoring a hat trick was Trent Jacobs helping to power the offense while Six Nations’ Andrew Jamieson supplied a goal for Utica.

Cortland – Nationally top ranked Cortland had a solid game against Clarkson University as the Red Dragons pulled out a 12-6 win. Leading the offense was Zach Hopps contributing 3 goals and 2 assists.
