Nature Center Announces "Adopt-A-Tree" Earth Day Workshop"

The Friends of the Robert Moses State Park Nature Center, Inc. in Massena are holding a special event in honor of Earth Day 2013.  Join local children’s author, Rayne Storm, in an “Adpot-A-Tree” workshop on Saturday, April 20th, from 1 – 2pm.  Children will go on a guided hike through the beautiful trails at the Nature Center, pick a tree to adopt, do a bark rubbing and a leaf sketch, and then see how it changes through the seasons.  The trails are easy to hike, but dress for weather. Meet at the Nature Center trail head, 19 Robinson Bay Road.  This is a free workshop and all materials are provided, but the class is limited to the first 20 to pre-register.  To pre-register, call the Nature Center at (315) 705-5022 or send an email to [email protected].
