RENTAL AGREEMENT
The Kawehnoke Recreation Center can be utilized for meetings, non-profit groups, seminars, birthday parties, receptions, etc. The Kawehnoke Recreation Committee reserves the right to refuse rental to any individual or group.
The Kawehnoke Recreation Committee is responsible for the overall maintenance and upkeep of the building, utilities and grounds. The Kawehnoke Recreation will provide the required cleaning supplies to keep the building in good working order.
RENTAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS:
• The rental charge is $160.00. This includes the multi-purpose room and the kitchen. A deposit fee of $60.00 is part of the rental charge and will be returned to the signed renter after a positive inspection of the building has taken place. The deposit fee will not be returned if the community center has not been cleaned, and/or has physical damage to the building and/or grounds.
• Both rental charge and deposit fee must be paid in full ten days prior to the reserved event. Full deposits will be refunded for cancellations made at least seven days prior to the reserved event. A late cancellation will result in half of rental fee being returned to the renter. Failure to pay will result in a cancellation. Failure to hold the event is the same as a late cancellation.
• Renters are responsible to set up tables and chairs. The tables and chairs are to be wiped clean before neatly stacking by the storage room. Do not drag tables and chairs on the floor.
• Decorations are allowed except for helium balloons. Dismantle decorations after the event.
• Renters are responsible for cleaning after the event:
1. sweep all floors
2. mop all spills with cold water
3. remove garbage from both washrooms
4. take all trash to the dumpster outside the building
• Smoking, alcohol and illegal substances are prohibited in the building and on the recreation grounds.
Kitchen Terms and Conditions:
• Bring your own tableware, such as, plates, bowls, flatware, cups, napkins, and tablecloths.
• If the stove doesn’t work PLEASE call the Arena Maintenance Supervisor Robert Mitchell at 613- 930-3545.
• Clean the kitchen after your event. Return all items used to their proper places.
• Wash, dry and put away all cookware used, and wipe down the counters.
• Place all used cloth towels in the basket provided.
• Clean the grill and stove after usage. Instructions are posted on the wall.
• Do not dispose of any food or grease in the sink.
• All left over food items associated with your function are to be taken with you when you leave. Do not leave in the refrigerator, counters or cupboards.
• Do not remove any items belonging to the Kawehnoke Recreation.
LEAVING THE BUILDING
• Call one of the Kawehnoke Recreation Committee Members to lock the building.
• Ensure all lights are turned off and all doors are closed shut.
All young children must be supervised at all times. The renter agrees to release the Kawehnoke Recreation Committee from liability resulting from any loss, damage or expenses of any kind occasioned by, or arising out of any accident or other occurrence, causing or inflicting injury, and or damage to any person or property during use of the facility.
