SRCS Girls Basketball Team Advances To NYS Final Four

Potsdam - It was an exciting night for the Salmon River Girls Basketball Team as they defeated Defending State Champions Watervliet 73-65 in the NYS Class B Quarterfinal Game.

Salmon River and Watervliet stayed neck and neck most of the game with the halftime score being 39-36. Shamrocks’ Abby Kelly hit 18 out of her 20 foul shots and led the Shamrocks with 35 points. Other Shamrocks contributing to the offense were Aliyah Cook with 17 points and Jaiden Mitchell chipping in 9 points. Watervliet’s Ailayia Demand led all shooters with 39 points while Deguire supplied 18 points for the offense.

Salmon River will play on Friday March 15th at Hudson Valley Community College with an 11:30 a.m. start time.
