The Reconciliation Youth Gathering is an opportunity for intercultural dialogue between Indigenous and non-Indigenous Youth from Akwesasne, Carleton, Ottawa U and Nunavut Sivuniksavut. Reconciliation works to eliminate stereotypes, create a greater appreciation for all cultures and connect people of different backgrounds. The Gathering will be an opportunity for youth to recognize the misinformation they have learned about different identity groups and deepen their knowledge on Aboriginal culture. We believe that improving the relationships between Indigenous and non-Indigenous youth is of vital importance for Canada’s future!
