Salmon River Student Arrested For Laced Brownies

FORT COVINGTON – A felony count of second-degree criminal sale of marijuana and a misdemeanor count of endangering the welfare of a child is what Brett A. Laughing, 17, of Fort Covington, is facing after his arrest Wednesday for allegedly distributing marijuana brownies to his classmates. Details are sparse, but Laughing is alleged to have either given or sold the brownies to two other students under the age of 16, who might face charges of their own for marijuana possession in family court. Laughing reportedly bought the brownies in Snye, Que. State police investigators are awaiting a lab analysis of the brownies, which were rumored to also contain oxycodone, however there is no proof that is true.
