POLICY WRITER

FULL-TIME - TERM POSITION (3 Years - 2016)

HUMAN RESOURCES OFFICE

Annual Salary: Pay Band 8 $47,931.34 - $59,010.51

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

Working under the direction and supervision of the HR Manager, the incumbent will be responsible for mainstreaming the activities involved with developing and updating policies and procedural manuals for Human Resources and the MCA organization. To ensure that materials created are drafted in compliance with applicable industry standards, best practices and regulatory requirements. The Policy Writer will be tasked with reviewing current materials to ensure they remain compliant and up to date, and provide support to other key units within the organization. These manuals/policies are intended to be guidebooks that ensure departments function in a cohesive and similar manner, creating a singular corporate culture.

QUALIFICATIONS:

University degree in Public Administration, Human Resource Management or in a related discipline with 3-5 years relevant experience; OR, 2 year Post Secondary Diploma in the field of Business Administration, Human Resources Management or related discipline with 5-7 years relevant experience.

Incumbent should have excellent writing, computer and interpersonal skills, along with analytical thinking, research, planning, time management and presentation skills. Ability to speak Mohawk and knowledge of Mohawk culture is an asset. Must possess a valid driver’s license and be willing to use personal vehicle during the course of employment.
