The Lady Raiders ended their best season in the program’s six-year history with a 3-1 loss to Canton. The Golden Bears are now on a six game winning streak.
Canton was first on the scoreboard when Taylor Marcellus scored an unassisted, shorthanded goal with 1:28 left in the first period. Massena evened up the score 1:31 into the second when Shannon Casey connected with a pass from Molly O’Connell. With 4:13 left in the period, Canton went ahead after Margret Troiano netted a goal assisted by Blake Orosz.
Orosz scored an unassisted goal on an empty net with just 31 seconds left in the third period to seal the win.
Maddi Dillabough turned aside 23 shots for the Raiders while Elizabeth Burke had 18 saves for Canton.
