Elizabeth Herne Durham

Elizabeth Herne Durham, age 88 of Eastwood, passed on to join her ancestors and beloved family on Sunday, January 27, 2013. She was born February 15, 1924, the daughter of Hattie Roundpoint and George Herne. She was born and raised on the Akwesasne Mohawk reservation on Cornwall Island, Ontario, Canada and on State Road in Hogansburg, NY. She is survived by daughters Lisa and Debra Durham, Cathy Turner, a brother Raymond and numerous grandchildren.

Elizabeth was predeceased by her husband Leroy Durham; sons Thad and David Durham, Thomas Beahan, daughter Barbara Dacy and a brother Herbert Herne.

A memorial service will be held at noon on Thursday, January 31, 2013 at Carter Funeral Home on Grant Blvd, Syracuse, NY. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery.
