Description of Position: The Family Advocate is an independent position created to help families that have experienced trauma.  The family advocate will assist families in specific situations that do not otherwise meet criteria for services offered within Saint Regis Mohawk Tribal programs. Their advocacy work will focus on the needs of the family. They will assist families in navigating through agencies, such as DSS, Health Services and Criminal Justice System, among others, in hopes of creating cooperative relationships that result in the best possible outcomes for the families.

Qualifications:  Associates or Bachelor’s degree in related field or 3-5 years of strong related experience.  Must be at least 21 years of age, have and maintain a valid driver’s license with a clean drivers abstract in accordance with the Saint Regis Mohawk Tribe’s Fleet Policy.
