Last week proved to be a tough week for the Lady Shamrock hockey squad as they hosted the Canton Golden Bears and the Alexandria Purple Ghosts at the Tom C. Cavanaugh Arena.
Canton took the lead in the first period with a score of 3-1. Tewasherake Barnes scored the lone Salmon River goal assisted by Amber Thomas. The Lady Shamrocks did not produce a goal in the second but kept the Lady Bears scoreless as well.
The third period was busy as Canton scored three goals and Salmon netted two as Victoria Thompson and Molly Brockway each found the back of the net. The Golden Bears left town with a 6-3 victory.
