A Voice from the Eastern Door
In October my brother and I went to Leon’s to purchase my birthday gift and a gift for my niece. We purchased a dining room table and 4 chairs for my niece and a side-by-side fridge was my birthday gift. While I was there I decided to purchase a microwave and a set of coffee tables. We were told after we purchased these items that the fridge had to be ordered and would be in about 1 week. That was fine. We brought home the microwave and was told the rest would be delivered. Well when they delivered the dining table set, and the coffee tables, they were in boxes. I thought they were going to put them together. When they were getting ready to leave I asked aren’t you going to put them together? They said no, you have to do it. We can do it but you will have to pay $50.00 a piece. I told them I was never told this when I bought them, and if that’s the case take it all back, I don’t want it. I can’t afford to pay $50 a piece and being wheel chair bound I can’t do it myself. I later called the store and wanted my money back, as with Vaughn Phillips, I was told the same thing. I had to wait for my check to come from the head office. In the mean time my much-wanted fridge, I was still waiting for. After calling several times, and being told it’s not in yet, I got so frustrated that I said just cancel it! I never got my birthday present and just last week I finally got my check from Leon’s. So Akwesasne, next time CKON has a live show at Leon’s, don’t be taken in on how good their deals are or how well they treat their customers. Because it’s not true, they just don’t care.
