On Sunday November 25, 2012, The Akwesasne Boys and Girls Club held their Kids Annual Christmas Party at the St. Regis Recreation. The community event provided pizza and beverages and also popcorn given out by the volunteers. The Christmas Party included a talent show, pictures with Santa and Mrs. Claus and face painting. Many of the kids sang for the talent show and showed tremendous spirit throughout the occasion. The DJ played Christmas songs and kids showed they were having a great time. All toy and food donations that were received are going to toward the Akwesasne Basket Drive Mountain of Toys. The Akwesasne Basket Drive Mountain of Toys and the Akwesasne Boys and Girls Club would like to thank the whole community for supporting this event and a special thanks to Sarah Herne for putting it together.
