A Voice from the Eastern Door
Big brother has recently become more into having friends and hanging out rather than wanting to play video games or go to the playground. If we are headed to the playground he asks, “Who can we take with us?” He isn’t interested in just going with little brother and myself. Lately, most days we’ve had an extra child or two hanging out. I personally find that sibling bickering is squashed when you add a friend. Big brother is content and little brother who is forever the tail will go back and forth between his usual victim and a new unsuspecting person to annoy. However the friend, instead of getting bothered, will laugh or find his newly added tail a welcome thing. To the delight of little brother who gets included in games of tag, hide and seek and my favorite eye spy. Sometimes friends cannot understand little brother at first and he must really put effort into saying words clearly. I love it, he gets practice in and doesn’t get frustrated because he thinks there is nothing cooler than getting the opportunity to be the tail.
