Annual Salary: Pay Band 6 $38,210.49 - $47,042.93
SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
Under the supervision of the Family and Traditional Support Unit Coordinator, the incumbent is responsible for assisting the Case Managers with the provision of direct support to clients and families.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Two Year College Degree in the Social or Behavioral Sciences field, (i.e. Law and Security, Child and Youth Worker, Social Work, Behavioral Science, Criminal Justice, or Psychology) with one-year work experience in Social Work field.
Must understand and adhere to strict principles of confidentiality, Social Work Code of Ethics and be familiar with the relevant legislation, regulations and guidelines and procedures according to the Akwesasne Child & Family Services. The incumbent must be willing to work flexible hours, including occasional evenings and weekends to meet the program requirements.
Knowledge and understanding of the Mohawk culture, and the ability to speak the Mohawk language considered an asset.
