Salary: Pay Band 4 $31,579.03-$38,878.46
SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITY:
Under the direct supervision of the assigned Akwesasne Child and Family Services Unit the incumbent is responsible for assisting the program staff with the development and delivery of primary prevention, intervention and alternative care services to the community.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Two Year College Degree in the Social or Behavioral Sciences field, (i.e. Law and Security, Child and Youth Worker, Social Work, Behavioral Science, Criminal Justice, or Psychology).
Must understand and adhere to strict principles of confidentiality, Social Work Code of Ethics and be familiar with the relevant legislation, regulations and guidelines and procedures according to the Akwesasne Child & Family Services. The incumbent must be willing to work flexible hours, including occasional evenings and weekends to meet the program requirements.
The incumbent must possess excellent oral and written communication skills along with excellent computer skills, and must maintain a high standard of professionalism. Have the ability to work independently and document and record case information accurately. Must have a class ‘G’ driver’s license and be willing to use personal vehicle in course of employment.
