Mohawk Vision Celebrates 10 Years

On Thursday, October 11, 2012 Dr. Hillary Pyke celebrated 10 years of business by turning back the price of eyeglasses 10 years, and all sunglasses were marked 25 % off. Also, clients and customers who stopped and made a purchase were entered into a draw for Oakley bags and sportswear.

Dr. Pyke has been serving the community of Akwesasne and surrounding area as an optometrist who is able to assess, diagnose and prescribe corrective eyewear. Besides prescribing eyeglasses, she also offers sportsmen, athletes and tradesmen/women with protective eyewear. Dr. Pyke’s childhood dream has been fulfilled by becoming an eye doctor. She attended Hamilton College and Potsdam State University. She graduated from the New England College of Optometry in Boston. With the support of her parents, friends and family she was able to make her dream a reality.  She also serves the community as founder of the “Stuff the Bus Program” each September, by providing hundreds of students with backpacks filled with school supplies. Local radio station CKON spent the afternoon at Mohawk Vision to help celebrate 10 years of service.
