MCA’s Entewatatha:wi (“We Will Govern”) Program is looking for a community minded person from the northern portion of Akwesasne to fill a vacant seat on their Land Code Task Force.
The Land Code Task Force is a working group that is seeking input to design a Land process that is suitable for the Lands and Estates Management in the three districts of the northern portion of Akwesasne.
The mandate of the working group is to develop options and offer advice to MCA and Entewatatha:wi in its negotiation with Canada regarding Governance, Lands and Estates. The group also provides input on the continued development of the draft Land Code Akwesasronon Onkwenwhentsia shon:a, and will assist the Entewatatha:wi Staff in community meetings and communications.
