Cornwall, ON- Members of the Cornwall Community Police Service Street Crime Unit executed a drug search warrant shortly after 4:00 p.m. on August 30th, 2012 at a Hamilton Crescent residence. As a result of the investigation, a male and a female were arrested and charged with 10 drug and Criminal Code related offences when it was alleged that he was found to be in possession of controlled substances. Police seized a large quantity of substance believed to be Methamphetamine (Speed), MDMA (Ecstasy) and marijuana. Police located approximately 3,000 MDMA (Esctasy) pills and approximately 1,000 Methamphetamine (Speed) pills. The total value of seized drugs and property is estimated at $35,000.
Cory Michaud, 29 of Cornwall was charged with 3 counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance, 2 counts of Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking and Possession of Property Obtained by Crime. He was held in custody to await a bail hearing.
Irene Mondoux, 34 of Cornwall was charged with 2 counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance and 2 counts of Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking. She was released to appear in court on October 11th, 2012.
