Ratted Out

The old Fish’s IGA in Fort Covington is loaded with rats! The owners have allegedly moved out of state, and left all of the non-perishables on the shelves. Rats are a nocturnal creature, yet there have been sightings of several rats, some who seem unafraid of humans, during the day. This may be a clue as to the enormity of the problem inside the building. There are a few abandoned houses surrounding Fish’s, which the rats may find homes in if the building is to be cleaned up without trapping or killing the rats. The town can only do so much as they do not own the building, so actions are in the process of going further up the chain of command. There have been talks of an exterminator and a group of volunteers to clean the mess up.
