Job Posting CASE MANAGER COMMUNITY SUPPORT PROGRAM DEPARTMENT OF COMMUNITY AND SOCIAL SERVICES

Annual Salary Range: Pay Band 5 $34,736.81-$42,766.21

POSITION SUMMARY:

Under the supervision of the Case Management Supervisor, the incumbent is responsible for assisting clients with applying for financial assistance, advising them of other services and programs available and of their rights and responsibilities under the guidelines of the Community Support Program.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Two (2) year Associates degree or two (2) year diploma in Behavioural Science, Sociology or Business Administration; Minimum two (2) years’ work experience in Welfare System or a Social Service related background; First aid/CPR considered an asset.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

The incumbent must have knowledge of the programs and services of the Mohawk Council of Akwesasne; must have knowledge of other community services available to a client. Incumbent should have knowledge of the educational, training and job opportunities – internally and externally. The incumbent must demonstrate the ability to think analytically for problem solving, prepare financial budgets, work as a team, and maintain accurate and complete records. The incumbent must have excellent communication, basic computer skills and interpersonal skills.
