PUBLIC ASSISTANCE REQUESTED
Cornwall, ON- The Cornwall Community Police Service are currently seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a male who was operating an ATV at Lamoureux Park on July 1st, 2012. The male struck the Cornwall Police motorcycle as well as the police officer. The police officer was not injured.
The male was described as a 35-year-old white male, approximately 5’10”, 160-170 lbs, slim built with brown shaggy straight hair and tattoos on his arms. The ATV is believed to be a dark coloured 2008-2010 Polaris with a burnt headlight.

MICROSOFT FRAUD ALERT
Cornwall, ON- The Cornwall Community Police Service have received more reports of several attempt of identification fraud. It is reported that residences are receiving a telephone call from a male with an accent identifying himself as a Microsoft employee. He is requesting information of your home computer system and attempts to obtain personal information. Several different phone numbers were provided as suspect(s) however were not traceable.
The Cornwall Community Police Service wishes to remind residents never give out any personal information over the telephone without researching and confirming who you are talking to. MYSTERY SHOPPER FRAUD ALERT
Cornwall, ON- The Cornwall Community Police Service would like to inform our Community of a reported Mystery Shopper scam. Resident receive a letter in the mail advising that they have been successfully nominated to be a mystery shopper. The resident is provided with a list of guidelines which include cashing a cheque. They are then advised to send a sum of the payment to specific party by using either Moneygram or Western Union. The cheques received by the applicant have been deemed fraudulent and/or stolen.
WARRANT
Cornwall, ON- Dalyn Ranson, 22 of Akwesasne was arrested on July 6th, 2012 under the strength of an outstanding warrant. It is alleged that on April 5th, 2012 a general warrant of committal was issued. He was located and held in custody until court the following day.
WARRANT
Cornwall, ON- A 15-year-old Akwesasne youth was arrested on July 8th, 2012. The youth was bound by a Recognizance with the conditions not to be away from the residence between the hours of 8:00 pm and 6 a.m. and abstain from the consumption of alcohol absolutely or being found anyplace where alcohol is sold save restaurants. It is alleged that during the early hours of July 8th, 2012 the youth was located under the influence of alcohol and breaching his conditions. The youth was charged with 2 counts of Fail to Comply with Recognizance and held in custody until the following day.
REFUSAL
Cornwall, ON- Owen Leaf, 29 of Cornwall was arrested on July 1st, 2012. It is alleged that he attended the Canadian Border where he was detained by a member of the Canadian Border Service Agency for failing to provide a breach sample in an approved screening device. He was turned over to a member of the Cornwall Community Police Service Patrol Division and charged with refusal. He was released to appear in court of July 14th, 2012.
