JOB POSTING ASSISTANT DIRECTOR OF HEALTH PERMANENT FULL-TIME POSITION DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH

Annual Salary:  Pay Band 10 $62,557.51 - $77,017.61

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES: The Assistant Director will support the Director of Health, with the efficient and effective administration of Health programming; with communication between and among MCA Departments; and with the financial reporting requirements and with assuring that all inquiries have a timely response.

QUALIFICATIONS: Undergraduate degree in Health Administration, Financial or related field, preferably in management; 3 – 5 years management experience including supervision; must have experience in the field of Health programs, administration, staffing, program delivery, financial and human resource allocation.

Experience and knowledgeable in liaising with government officials; and participating in provincial/national committees affecting First Nations Governments is considered an asset. Knowledge of local, neighboring, regional and national health system partners is an asset.  

Speaking and understanding the Mohawk language is an asset.  Must possess a valid driver’s license and willingness to use personal vehicle during course of employment.
