The Akwesasne Mohawk Police Service would like to inform the Community that our marine patrol has been out patrolling the waterways and will be visible throughout the summer months. We would like to remind the community when traveling on the waterways to keep in mind all the safety precautions while enjoying our waters, and not to hesitate to call police if witnessing any unsafe acts by boaters. Police will be enforcing safety regulations so please ensure that everyone wears life jackets at all times while traveling in a vessel. It is the responsibility of all of us to ensure that we enjoy a risk-free recreational summer and work together in partnership for everyone’s safety.
