Austin D. Cavender, 19, of Hogansburg was charged with unlawful possession of marijuana by Massena-based state police at 9:30 p.m. Saturday following a stop at the U.S. port of entry in Rooseveltown.

Gregory L. Phillips of 221 Cook Road, Akwesasne, was charged with resisting arrest and harassment by Massena Village police at 11:58 p.m. Sunday. Police said Phillips was asked to leave the Open Net tavern but shoved Sgt. Dion Durant and then resisted when officers attempted to take him into custody. He was released from custody Monday morning on an appearance ticket.
