Brian M. White, 32, of 183 Racquette Point Road, Hogansburg, was indicted on charges of second-degree criminal possession of marijuana. Mr. White was accused of possessing 2.3 pounds of marijuana on November 14 in the town of Gouverneur, documents showed.

Roxanne Peters, 49, of Cornwall, Ontario, was indicted on second-degree criminal possession of marijuana. According to court documents she was accused of possessing 5 pounds of marijuana on November 26 in the town of Morristown.

James Papineau Jr., 26, of 183 Racquette Point Road, Hogansburg was charged with third-degree grand larceny due to his involvement of the Service Master van theft on April 5th in Canton. He was the third man arrested by St. Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department deputies in connection to the incident of joyriding, crashing the van and fleeing the accident. Papineau was arraigned in Pierrepont Town Court and sent to the St. Lawrence County Correctional Facility with bail set at $10,000 cash.

Calsey R. Bigtree-Thompson, 21, of Hogansburg was charged by Massena-based state police with aggravated driving while intoxicated, and ticketed for an equipment violation and unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle. She was stopped at the U.S. port of entry on Thursday at 11:57 p.m.

Jonathan D. Hamelin, 27, of 23 Conners Road, Hogansburg was ticketed by Massena police for operating a vehicle with an unsafe tire and no distinctive plate. He was stopped on Route 37 at 9:05 a.m. on Saturday.

Windell R. King Jr., 31, of Hogansburg was sentenced to time served for a fourth-degree criminal mischief conviction. However he was returned to county jail pending sentencing on a felony third-degree criminal mischief conviction. King has received multiple charges including petit larceny stemming from events at Hannafords and Price Chopper, and grand larcenies from stealing several TVs numerous times from two different Wal-marts.

For the May 2011 incident where King stole a 2002 Jeep Liberty from Shawn Flanders, King was indicted by a grand jury for fourth-degree grand larceny, second-degree reckless endangerment, fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon, second-degree kidnapping, fourth-degree criminal possession of stolen property and resisting arrest. The kidnapping charge and some of the other counts had been dismissed following a review by the county court. King is scheduled to go back to county court in August where he will most likely be sentenced to two to four years in state prison.
