Moira Man Wins Seat at World Series of Poker at Akwesasne Mohawk Casino

Akwesasne Mohawk Casino – Little did anyone know that local car repair man Greg Snyder considered himself a skilled poker player. “I come to the casino every Friday night and play in the Poker Room,” states Mr. Snyder. Avoiding the stereo-typical movie scenes complete with sunglasses and cigars, Snyder’s modest approach to the game comes down to his ability to read the cards and plot his next move regardless of his surroundings.  It is with that subtle confidence that he will now be embarking to Las Vegas, Nevada for a $10,000 seat in the world famous World Series of Poker competition, which he won at a satellite qualifier at the Akwesasne Mohawk Casino. Admittedly, Mr. Snyder felt he always had a chance to win the seat. “All you need is chips and a chair,” he smiled. Mr. Snyder later goes on to state, “It does not matter if you have 5 chips left, you still have chance – I’ll fight to stay in!” Mr. Snyder will embark on his quest to bring home the coveted gold bracelet on July 7, 2012 at the Rio Hotel in Las Vegas. Considering he has never been anywhere other than Florida for his honeymoon, Mr. Snyder is extremely excited to see Las Vegas in all its wonder. “I am going to bring my wife and children too!” he stated.
