A Voice from the Eastern Door
The NAC is presenting King Lear featuring an all-aboriginal cast from May 8-26. Though the plot remains the same, the language and setting were modernized by being brought to the late 1700’s and set in the Ottawa area. This rendition of Shakespeare’s play will be more meaningful to aboriginal peoples. Rehearsals are open to the public.
