OPG SETTLEMENT AGREEMENT PROCEEDS

FOCUS MEETINGS

There will be 3 Focus Meetings held in the Month of May 2012 to further discuss ideas for the use of the OPG Settlement Agreement proceeds.

At previous meetings held in March 2012 ideas included:

-Finishing the Kawehnoke Waterline

-Swimming Pools and Recreation facilities in each District

-Walking path on Kawehnoke

-Educational studies for students

-Survival Training

-Economic Development

-Tourism and other recommendations.

On the following dates meetings will be held to gather more ideas from the community. Information gathered from these meetings will be included in a report that will be presented to Council.

-Tsi Snaihne Recreation May 3, 2012 starting at 6:30 pm

-Tri-District Elders Lodge May 17, 2012 starting at 6:30 pm

-Kanatakon Recreation May 24, 2012 starting at 6:30 pm

Council encourages all community members to come share their ideas as recommendations for the use of the proceeds.
