COMMUNITY MEETING

Akwesasne community members are invited to attend a meeting regarding the operation of CKON on Wednesday, May 9th at 6pm in the cafeteria of the St. Regis Mohawk School in Hogansburg; agenda items include the Communication Society Board Members not being accountable to the community, their length of term as a Board Member; their volunteer status changing to a paid one including receiving a Christmas bonus; input is needed on how a Board Member is selected, either by letters of interest or hand selection by other Board Members; should CKON be paying for a Board Member to travel to Rome; should Board meeting minutes be made public; the community is encouraged to attend this important meeting.
