Printup and Boots compete in annual canoe race

Arnold Printup III and Bruce Boots paddled in the 39th Annual Raisin River Canoe Race, placing 11th out of 146 teams.

The canoe race started in St. Andrews West, Ontario and ended in Williamstown, Ont. They canoed 35 kilometers, traversed 3 rapids and portaged over the Martintown Dam.

The race is sponsored by Raisin Region Conservation Authority. Categories included Pro Class, 17’ Open, Adult/Youth, Mixed Rec, Women’s Rec, Men’s Rec, Kayak, Student Men’s, Student Mixed Rec, Student Women’s Rec, High School Challenge, and Masters.
