4 Solid Waste Laborers

Division:  Environment Salary:  $11.13 / hr

Status:  4 Laborers from May 14, 2012 – July 6, 2012

Deadline: Onerahtokha /April 6, 2012

Description of Position:  Collect and unload wastes and recyclables at either the transfer station or scrap yard.  Clean and inspect equipment on daily basis and inform the Working Supervisor of any required maintenance that needs attention.  Track daily events and keep logs pertaining to significant events including, but not limited to: maintenance; damage & accidents; waste screening; and discovered unacceptable wastes.  

Qualifications:  High school diploma or GED, or one year related experience and/or training.  .   Must be at least 21 years of age, have and maintain a valid driver’s license with a clean drivers abstract in accordance with the Saint Regis Mohawk Tribe’s Fleet Policy.  Ability to lift a minimum of 25 pounds.  Excellent verbal communication skills.  Knowledge of operating machinery and hazardous materials is a plus.  Defensive driving and CPR/First Aid certification is a plus.
