FRC is an international program/competition that helps students discover and develop an excitement for science, technology, engineering and math and the rewards that careers in the STEM areas can bring. Six weeks each winter, students design, build, and program a robot to compete in the annual challenge. Students are given game rules, regulations, a kit of parts, a budget, and size and weight limits to adhere to. This is a real-life engineering challenge that encourages students to use the advanced math, physics, technology and engineering concepts they learn in their various high school classes.
