A Voice from the Eastern Door
Thank you from the family of Paul King Jr.
We would like to express our genuine thanks and gratitude to the many people who helped us out during the unexpected loss of a wonderful Husband, Father, Tota, Brother, Uncle and Friend. Your outpouring of generosity in so many ways was and is so overwhelming and did not go unnoticed. Many know of what a great athlete Paul was and we enjoyed the many stories told by his friends of his early years, thank you for sharing them with us. He was always quick with laughter, wit, teasing and if you were lucky enough you had a nickname given to you.
Paul was blessed to find his true love early in life and to start his family. He had a lot of living to do before an awful disease took his strength and ability to work, but to the end, he made an effort to do what he could. How proud he is of his family and their own successes in life with a commitment to having loving families, hard work and the love of one another. All learned from the examples of living from this quiet gentle man.
Thank you to the many people who donated food, flowers, money, sent cards and for various things you did to help us out. Thank you for sitting quietly with us, sharing a story, and for the many hugs and just for your presence.
Thank you to the MCA ambulance service- Joan and Stacey, to the AMPS-Bill, Henes, and Peter, and the Seaway Valley Ambulance. Thank you to the Oakes family: to Bertha for being with us, to Dan, Buggo, Chubbie and Tom, for the help given in so many ways to us, and to Erin Oakes also.
To all the Brothers and Sisters, of both Paul and Sesi, and all the nieces and nephews, for help with meals, food, and being with us, thank you. To the family of Jerry King, daughter’s husbands, grandchildren, Thank you for preparing the meal. It is overwhelming to see such love and caring all the family members possess.
To Father Jerome for the service and songs for Paul, Thank you.
To Aronhiaies and Iothore, Thank you for the Ceremonial words and speeches.
To the many nurses, and home support workers that he had in the past, Thank you for what you do. We appreciate all of you.
Please know that we hold you in our hearts for all that you helped us out with and we thank you. Paul is on his journey and until we get to meet him again, know that he had a very happy, content life and loved us all.
