SUMMARY: Responsible to perform analysis of Akwesasne Mohawk Casino’s operations, operational efficiency and profitability on an on-going basis
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING:
• Exhibits a friendly, helpful and courteous manner when dealing with our guests and fellow associates.
• Participate in the analysis of proposed AMC projects to assess financial viability and impact as directed.
• Review statistical data and financial information to determine trends and impacts to the gaming operation and prepare reports.
• Analyze Slot machines for variances >3% from theoretical hold %.
• Analyze monthly Table Games and Slot drop figures.
• Review, prepare, and analyze Table Games, Slots, Food & Beverage and Marketing promotions for cost, effectiveness, and profitability.
• Others as required.
• Assist on a regular basis with Department Directors to review monthly departmental financial statements to assess and review trends based on approved work plan and expenditure activity.
• To examine and produce reports to management on host activity, busing activity, financial performance, operating statistics, labor statistics, marketing activity and other reports as required.
• Prepares Semi Annual Budget Forecasting, assessing current revenue trends and expenses.
• Assist in the research and development of new products, concepts or applications that would enhance financial/operational efficiency and effectiveness as directed.
• Assist in AMC’s annual insurance applications, questionnaires, and renewal of policies in conjunction with Purchasing.
• Assist in the overall annual budgeting process.
• Monitors on-going Capital Projects for budget variances and return on investment.
• Assist in the preparation of pro-forma and post-forma statements in conjunction with the Marketing Department for promotions.
• Key role in report generation, analysis, and education of statistical and financial data for the Food & Beverage operation.
• Assist Director of Slot Operations with on-going analysis of slot performance, recommended machine moves/changes, conversions and capital projects (pre and post performance).
• Continuous review of the validity of Acres system generated reports and data.
• Analysis to safeguard against misuse of guest service promotional offers.
• Assist with and gather statistical date for the RFP process and on-going analysis of vendor performance once granted.
• Prepare, execute, and report vendor audits.
• Assist with Asset management policies, procedures, and audits throughout the facility.
• On-going role in identifying cost reduction measures.
• Educate and heighten financial awareness throughout entire facility.
• Generate Win/Loss Statements for AMC guests.
• Other duties that may be assigned by the Director of Finance.
SUPERVISORY
RESPONSIBILITIES: There are no Direct Supervisory responsibilities. Indirect will lead special assignments and reports.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) in Accounting, Business Management or Administration from a four-year college or university; or six years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Must obtain and maintain a New York State certification and St. Regis Mohawk Tribal Gaming License.
