A Voice from the Eastern Door

Vegetarian, Vegan, Raw Vegan

Vegetarians do not eat meat.  Vegans do not eat meat, fish, or dairy.  Raw Vegans do not eat meat, fish, dairy, genetically modified, non-organic, processed, cooked, or any type of fake dead ‘foods’.

The Raw Vegan Lifestyle is practiced by people that wish to avoid or reverse mainstream diseases and health issues including cancer, diabetes, asthma, allergies, and other common health problems.  It’s very easy to follow technically but can be very difficult to follow for people that have any type of emotional attachment to the mainstream American diet.  Anyone that was raised on mainstream meat, dairy, potato diet will need self-determination to change a lifetime of learned habits.  Many Raw Vegans choose the lifestyle because they are facing or recently conquered a health crisis such as cancer and felt that it was a last resort.

80% of a raw vegan’s daily calories come from fresh ripe dark leafy greens.  10% of the daily calories come from a variety of ripe fresh vegetables and fruits.  10% of daily calories come from soaked raw organic seeds and nuts.  You can find details about the how and why of Raw Vegan Lifestyles, by searching the following phrases in Google:

Raw Vegan food is simply raw, organic, ripe, alive, non-genetically modified, real, natural food.   New raw vegans sometimes forget to only consume fresh, ripe veggies and fruits; resulting in a negative symptom from something like the high acidity of an unripe banana.

Raw vegans consume raw seeds and nuts after they are soaked a few hours to overnight to cause the natural growth inhibitor to be released.  Drain and rinse the seeds or nuts very well before consuming, to make sure you don’t eat the growth inhibitor that often results in some kind of allergic reaction.

Raw vegans never eat un-ripe vegetables or fruits because they lack the living enzymes that the human body thrives on.  Ripe sweet bell peppers are red, yellow or orange.  Green bell peppers are not ripe so raw vegans do not consume them.

New raw vegans will often do a two week or longer juice feast because their bodies are dealing with some kind of health crisis and their digestive system needs a rest from trying to digest meats, dairy, processed foods, and chemicals that are creating a diseased environment including inflammation of their body’s soft tissue.

If a raw vegan cannot figure out how to grow their own food or buy from a reputable grower, they will practice the following mainstream grocery store shopping techniques.

· Bananas, Apples, Carrots: organic only or don’t buy them at all.

·  Citrus, Root Veggies:  If not organic, throw away the rind, pith, and skin.

· Herbal Teas:  organic, non-genetically modified only.

Raw vegans also do not cook their food because it kills the natural living enzymes.  They will warm or even dehydrate food (no higher than 118 degrees) when they crave something warm, as long as the living enzymes are not killed in the food.

The first two weeks of becoming a new raw vegan, the body has a lot of adjusting to do.  Raw vegans can consume as much food as they want too because the nature of real organic ripe food causes the human body to do what it is built for and it will get rid of any excess it needs to get rid of.  That’s why some people view the Raw Vegan lifestyle as a diet because many will lose excessive weight with the raw vegan lifestyle.  When you see a raw vegan that is overweight or unhealthy, they are most likely not a strict raw vegan, or past habits caused disease that is not reversible, or other unknown factors are working.  Every single human body is different, so just do what works for your own body and always talk with your doctors and professionals before you make any radical changes in your diet and lifestyle.

I will share raw vegan recipes each week and I hope that each reader does their own research for their own bodies.  When we take responsibility for our own health and our own body, we can find ourselves free of mainstream pharmaceuticals and other dangerous habits that have become mainstream culture.
