Roberta Benedict Martin, age 53 years, of Hogansburg NY, passed on Wednesday December 28, 2011 at the Alice Hyde Medical Center in Malone New York. Loving mother of Troy Benedict (Leah), Joseph Martin (Hurk), Nathan (Samson) Martin, Adam Martin, and Raeanne Benedict all of Akwesasne. Cherished grandmother of Tori Benedict, Blaze Benedict, Kyra Benedict, Bow Benedict, Casey Oakes, Cayde Oakes, Tayden Martin, and Makaya Martin. Roberta was predeceased by her husband, Louis Martin. Dear sister of John Benedict (Angie Johnson), Mike Benedict (Leona), Joseph Benedict, Joan Phillips (Joe), Lucy Beaubien (Gordon), Katherine Square and Nancy White all of Akwesasne. Predeceased by her parents, Joseph and Louise Benedict, her brothers Frankie and Butch Benedict and her sisters Betty Lazore, Janet Curleyhead, and Annie Benedict. She was waked at the residence of her sister Katherine Square, St. Regis QC., until a Mass of Christian Burial held on Saturday, December 31, 2011 in St. Regis Church at 2 P.M. Cremation to follow.
