Notice to the Community

This is to inform the community that the following persons have applied for Akwesasne Membership under the Akwesasne Membership Code and for Residency Permits under the Akwesasne Residency Law.

Amanda Marie Tryon, age 20, daughter of Tamra Cook (Akwesasne) and Aurthur Tryon (non-native);

Carmalita (Sampson) Swamp, age 31, currently registered with Tsartlip First Nation, British Columbia.  She is the daughter of Darcy and Muriel (Jack) Sampson.

Wanda (Murray) East, age 55, daughter of Catherine Tarbell (Akwesasne) and Robert Murray (non-native).

Kallie Robyn Diabo, age 20, is currently registered with the Mohawks of Kahnawake.  She is the daughter of Walter and Leigh-Ann (McComber) Diabo.

Monica Papineau, age 20, is applying for renewal of her Akwesasne Residency Permit.  She is the daughter of Kent Papineau (Akwesasne) and Joan (Shenandoah) Papineau (Onondaga).

Kaleigh King, age 18, is applying for Akwesasne Membership.  She is the daughter of Joseph Junior King (Akwesasne) and Lorraine Lee Gabriel King (Kanesatake).

Teiosakentison Elijah, age 27, was granted Probationary Membership on July 8, 2006.  The Membership Board is now going to determine if she has successfully completed her probationary period.

Community Members have until Thursday, January 5, 2012 to indicate whether they wish to make submissions regarding the above applicants.
